Happy Christmas, to all that celebrate it!

The family and I are off to my aunt and uncle's for dinner soon, so may you all have a marvelous day of peace and prosperity!

I've been rather busy lately working shifts to cover other people at work, due to the fact that I'm going on vacation next week. I just realized I may have not mentioned it online yet. So yes, next Friday I will be going with [livejournal.com profile] katzell to ENGLAND. I am horribly excited!

We're going to stay with [livejournal.com profile] wanderlust_27 in her place in London. She's going to graduate school there and I haven't seen her in over three years, which is crazy, so I am giddy with excitement to see her again. Then the three of us are going to go to Norwich for a few days (Katie knows someone there) and then we are taking the train to Wales for a book festival at Hay-on-Wye. I'm almost expecting that I'll end up mailing some books home.

I've got one day off tomorrow, in which I'm going to visit my sister in Rhode Island. Then working all day shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to cover the mentioned other co-workers who are on vacation now. My motivation until the end of next week will be the ten days of AWESOME.

Can't wait! :D

I've been super talkative this evening. First talked to [livejournal.com profile] poor_nizzie for a half hour on The Office and life stuff, then right after my dad called. Talked to him for almost another half hour while he drove back home from working in Connecticut today. So yes, chatty me! :)

To go off on an unrelated tangent, was doing some random icon making this evening.

When I first met [livejournal.com profile] crownedrebel four years ago, I recommended the comic book Fables to her. In turn she recommended the miniseries The 10th Kingdom to me, citing the similarities it had with magical creatures turning up in modern day New York City. I was intrigued but never got around to watching it.

Since that time, YouTube was invented (hard to believe it's a mere three years old!) and I've now discovered it myself. I've recently finished both The Middleman and The Sarah Jane Adventures, so I thought I needed a new tv show. Like another hole in my head, right?

Thus far I've watched just the first "episode", as it's posted as, and found myself needing to post about it because I completely adore Wolf. ADORE. He's like a maniac and meat-lusting precursor to Bigby. Who actually does tie up grandmothers and try to cook them. :D

So a belated thanks, Steph!

*goes to eagerly watch more*
