SO BOGGED DOWN. Considering that it took me many attempts over three years to get past the first hundred pages, I'd say the fact that the last 300 pages taking only two months looks downright speedy in comparison. :D
I think I shall. I love Tom Erskine and Sybilla. After I stopped yelling at Lymond and Richard for not communicating for forever, I loved them as well. Additionally, I am in Nicole's camp of loving Will Scott, the silly noble boy he is.
Will won me over in the last 100 pages. After he started using his brain and not his ego.
Sybilla is a badass. In my head, she is played by Helen Miren. Wonder how much it would cost to buy the rights long enough to write a treatment? On the other hand, probably too much going on in that book for a movie. Not to mention the forever unanswered question, who is awesome enough to play Lymond? Oh well.
It will be strange to finally see that book on my bookshelf. I only sent it your way four years ago. Does your aunt want to read it while it's at your place? I know she loves the historical fiction.
Ps. You should read the other books. But I think if you decide to do that, I will buy them for you rather then loan out my copies indefinitely. I might not see book 6 for decades at your current rate of reading.
